The Rights Of Women hornpipe

A great hornpipe from the pen of master fiddler Liam O’Connor, recorded on his album The Loom. This is the outline of the tune without any of the more detailed ornamentation. Sometimes the high b is repeated in the second half, sometimes not.

I’d have thought this was in F# minor (3 #), or perhaps with keys allowed here BDor. Has a minor feel about
it. Beautiful tune.

It’s definitely Bm or B modal or B Dorian, whatever your inclination is. I always forget to add the ‘key’ and just put in the key signature in the menu when I’m writing tunes!
