J.F MacKenzie Of Stornoway

A great strathspey written by the late Willie Ross of Inverness-shire. It’s one of these highland pipe tunes that could maybe be assumed to by mixolydian but the g’s are just passing notes really and this tune is A major.

I’ve always known this tune as "J F Mackenzie Esq Of Garrynahine".
