Also known as James Murray’s #1.
There are 2 recordings of this tune.
James Murray's has been added to 5 tunebooks.
from Téada’s album, In Spite of the Storm, last set, first tune,
i searched multiple times on tunepal and this site, with no matches, so i guess it hasn’t been posted before (can it be??) \. As far as i can tell, it’s unrelated to the jig of the same name.
It was composed by James Murray, a flute player from Tubbercurry, Sligo, according to the sleeve notes.
James Murray is a good friend of mine and he wrote this tune and the aforementioned jig. He’s written some other great tunes, several of which are in his chapter Bernard Flaherty’s book ‘Trip to Sligo’.
