Roy’s Hands
A Beautiful air as played by the great Finbar Furey. It is also known as Rocking The Cradle, and there is a recording of Leo Rowsome playing this tune. It sounds lovely with two sets of uilleann pipes in harmony.
Re: Roy’s Hands
Composed by Finbar Furey, in honour of Roy Williamson of Scottish folk duo, "The Corries". It is not known as "Rocking The Cradle". That was an entirely different tune on the same LP which Finbar recorded "Roy’s Hands" in 1969 [ I think ]. Leo Rowsome may have recorded "Rocking The Cradle", but I’m not aware of any recording of him playing "Roy’s Hands". "Roy’s Hands" has been recorded by John McSherry.
