Simplified transcription for reference, from Tony O’Connell playing the set “Gold ring / Trip to the quarry / Charlie Mulvihill’s jig” on his 2017 self-published CD “’live and well” ( The first part of the tune appears to be in A dorian; the second in A mix.

The name apparently comes from The Waivers, Denis Murphy named it so on a recording by Breandán Breathnach, in turn citing someone else in the family.
