Orkney tune by Jennifer Wrigley. I think Owen Tierney’s boat was caught by the Taing, unpredictable tide at island of Gairsay. It vanished but later reappeared, hence this excellent tune.

In reality, the melodic rhythm E3 E E2 is more like E2>>E2 E2 (or E2- E3/2E/2 E2), but for ease of reading I’ve left it as in SusanK’s transcription.
