Steffaleken

This tune is a polska from the Norwegian region of Røros. In Scotland, where the tune has gained in popularity in recent years, it is known by the generic alternative title “Rørospols” (or Røros Pols”).

Setting X:1 is as the tune is written. Setting X:2 is (roughly) how it is actually played with phrasing as in the first YouTube clip below.
