Brother’s Jig

Roughly from the playing of Figgy Duff. Brother’s is a common session tune in Newfoundland, written by Émile Benoît, and often follows after Auntie Mary in Dmaj (https://thesession.org/tunes/1218).

The A Part is pretty close to the A Part of Coleman’s Cross (https://thesession.org/tunes/1706), and the B Parts differ. It’s also similar to Réalta’s recording of Eibhlín Ní Riordáin’s (https://thesession.org/recordings/5386).

For whistlers/flutists, either "fold" (octave jump) the low B’s and A’s, or, transpose the whole piece up one octave.

Re: Brother’s

Another solution for whistlers is to use an A whistle for it, which works quite nicely.

Re: Brother’s

Thanks Sol Foster, will add a setting in Ador for this!

Brother’s, X:3

An alternative ending.

Brother’s, X:4

Different chords, transposed, few variations.
