Raindrops

Track 3 from Deiseal’s "The Long Long Note". Cormac Breatnach plays it at eye-watering speed. I’ve created this (in response to Yans D’s recent request) using the Capo app and am currently bashing out the notes at 50% tempo. Hoping to get to 75% some day but 100% is probably beyond my reach! You can play along in this key using an A whistle. Note that lines 3 and 4 are basically a repeat of lines 1 and 2 but I’ve included them separately because there is a small difference second time through.

Re: Raindrops

Well done for that, Alan - a tricky transcription indeed, but shouldn’t all the "c" notes be natural ? In fact, should the whole thing not be in "G", rather than "D" ?

Re: Raindrops

Thanks, Kenny. Yes, a silly mistake, now corrected.

Re: Raindrops

Alan Graham! Thank you for doing what I couldn’t! You’ve done very well with this phenomenal tune.

Rain Drops

A tune composed by Cormac Breatnach when he was playing in Deiseal with Niall O’Callanain and Paul O’Driscoll. The tune is also found on the first recording of Sonamus (with Breatnach).

Raindrops & The First of May

Thanks Alan Graham and LastPosted! Do you know maybe the dots from "The First of May"?
