Lady Elizabeth Cole’s Reel

Surprised to see this hasn’t already made its’ way here, great Gminor jig. Composed by Scottish Fiddler Robert Mackintosh, who lived from 1745-1807.

Sets well with a bunch of Dmin/Gmin/Amin tunes. To name a few: The Sailor’s Wife, Mrs. O’Sullivan’s, Jump at the Sun, The Coleraine, The Black Cat, The Cat in the Hopper, Cleveland Park.

Recordings: Reel of Seven, David Brewer and Rebecca Lomnicky, StringFire!, and Melinda Crawford.

Lady Elizabeth Cole’s, X:3

Originally set in Gmin, it also works in most of the other minor keys to varying degrees (Dmin, Emin, Bmin, Amin, Cmin, etc. etc.).

Lady Elizabeth Cole’s Reel, X:4

A Robert MacIntosh tune, transcribed to A minor - much easier to play for whistle/flute.

Lady Elizabeth Cole’s Reel, X:5

Setting in Bmin.
