The Cameronian

As played by Altan on the Gap of Dreams album.
Bit of a mystery - credited as traditional but isn’t a well-known one for sure!
The end three bars are like a coda - the B part doesn’t go into the A very comfortably otherwise.

Re: The Cameronian

All of the Donegal versions of this tune I have heard (i.e., everything except on “Bright and Early” by Paddy O’Brien and Nathan Gourley) have that little five-beat “coda” at the end. I’ve never heard anything like it in ITM. Donegal music experts out there, was this tune used for a particular dance, perhaps, that would have accommodated, or required, this ending?
