The Humors Of Kilkenny

From the Roche collection, #130. Very very similar to the Fair Haired Boy (https://thesession.org/tunes/3119) but perhaps just distinct enough to warrant being called a different tune.

The Humors Of Kilkenny, X:2

From the playing of Eric Wilson.

Re: The Humors Of Kilkenny

Is your setting not identical to the first one (apart from something very minor in the second part)?
What is your definition of ‘setting’, may I be so bold as to ask?

Re: The Humors Of Kilkenny

A few minor differences, yes. I’d say Eric’s setting is slightly more tidy than the one from the Roche Collection, and, with a slightly different feel.

A loose definition for "setting" would probably be something like: "does it make the tune feel at least a bit different?" What that means to each person will differ, of course.
