I learned this tune of one of irelands best flute players -john lee.the tune appears on mary bergins first solo albumb "feadog stain".she plays the reel of mulinavat after it.

EGdG EGdG instead of EGDG EGDG its a nice variation.

The Sandmount Reel

Setting #3 is as played by Paddy Taylor on his album "The Boy In The Gap".
It’s actually not very different from the first setting, but with some nice variations.
The ‘c’s in those triplets are only sharp because he is lazy, of course.

Sandymount Reel

I loved this, hearing it on Catherine McEvoy’s early tape.

Re: The Sandymount

Love the version of it on De Danann’s second record.

Re: The Sandymount

I WAS LOOKING FOR SHEET MUSIC TO THE SANDPIPER AS HEARD ON DEBY BENTON GROSJEAN’S CD "BEYOND THE SHORE"….GORGEOUS TUNE BUT DIFFERENT THAN ANYTHING HERE…WILL HAVE TO LEARN BY EAR..HOW AWFUL ! DAVID IN AUSTIN, TEXAS

Re: The Sandymount

the version that is on DEBY GROSJEAN’S CD for the sandpiper I love…reminiscent of TATTER JACK WALSH…I will just have to learn her version by ear…what a concept !
