I dedicate this 3-note polka to the memory of Tom O’Neill of Ballycastle. I can’t guarantee this is exactly as I heard it some years ago in Tom’s pub, but these notes seem adjacent, to me at this moment. When I hear it again from my original source, I may pop the differences up.
However, I don’t think this sort of elemental tune should often be communicated in written form.
Play it with lots of commitment, and huge Kerry backbeat draw in the first part…
