Mag Long’s

A jig from a new album of fiddler Jimmy Power’s music called "Go Home And Have Your Dinner". A lot of the endings seem to be interchangeable, especially in the first part.

Re: Mag Long’s

I have this on an album called Irish Music from the Favourite. I had the great fortune that someone burnt a copy for me from an old VINYL recording. This album is awesome and captures everything about the golden era of Irish music in London with Jimmy Power, Tony Ledwith, Reg Hall (of course) and Paul Gross . For some bizarre reason the recording isnt even listed on the session. There are a couple of real gems on the album that I am unable to track down the dots for. One tune is called Willie Clancy’s jig which is played before Mag Longs. Another is played after Statia Donnelly’s jig on track one and is called Mick Gormans fancy. I cant find either of the these tunes anywhere. Anyone got any ideas about the tunes I am all ears
