Yet another well known Slide for any Sleuth here to track down.
‘May the force be with you’ in your quest!
Funny how so many recordings, especially older ones, give names for all their Jigs & Reels but appear to believe it is perferctly OK just to put down ‘Polkas’ or ‘Slides’ when it comes to Kerry tunes!
Found it meself!
Blimey, that was weird, I gave this tune a nickname, just until I could find the real name, & then, when I posted it with the nickname, it turns out that someone else knows it by that name also ………………….- ALIENS at work?
Don’t Panic! Don’t Panic!- the other Temple House was a Reel.
Finally, someone makes a comment on this lovely old slide. So Dow, are you focusing on slides now?
Damn, your polkas… Sorry, neglect! 😏 No, I haven’t forgotten, just been waylaid repeatedly lately by other madness…
I think this is a great tune I usually play it as follows:
1. The Priest
2. Mary Willies
3. This is my love, do you like her?
I may have taken to this set of tunes due to the potentially interesting storyline as indicated by the titles🙂
It took me a while to come to terms with this tune, my fingers always running ahead, wanting to play
