Rince Briotánach

A Breton "Gavoten Ar Menez" tune. Clannad play this on one of their albums. Have found a few other recordings of variations of this one.

There are plenty of tunes called "Gavoten Ar Menez" which aren’t the same as this one. Pretty sure this is because the names are not known, or, its’ like the "An Dro" naming scheme.

Follows nicely after The Bear Dance, and goes into The Musical Priest quite well. All three played in B minor.

Re: Rince Briotánach

Breton tunes are often un-named, and usually carry an association with an area or region, in this case "of the mountain" (menez=mountain), with an particular local style.
