Traditional Scottish. Anyone know who wrote it?
It seems to be one of William Marshall’s tunes, full title "Miss Watt’s Reel, Nether Cluny" and published in his 1822 collection, but Natalie’s setting has wandered quite far from the original. So much so that appears like a different tune, but I still suspect that Marshall’s tune is the root.
Donald is quite right - it’s in Duff’s collection of 1792, but there are similarities to Marshall’s tune of the same name, purely coincidental.
