Glen Grant

This is the Glen Grant that Sandy Maclntyre plays and I believe Natalie Macmaster plays this as well. Anyone know who wrote it?

Re: Glen Grant

It was composed by Charles Grant (1805-1892) of Aberlour, Banffshire whose well-known air "Mrs Jamieson’s Favourite" is still played widely today. Grant was taught by the great William Marshall, for whom played fiddle just before he died. Grant inherited Marshall’s fiddle. He is also known to have played with James Scott Skinner.
