Marshall wrote a tune called "Captain Cameron’s Volunteer’s March" after Capt. Alexander Cameron who lived on Balvenie Farm in Glen Fiddich near Dufftown (Banffshire). Miss Ann Cameron lived on the same farm, but it’s known she wasn’t married (she was described as "Dr Grigor of Nairn’s maiden aunt"), so perhaps she was a close relative.
