O’Brien’s Tower

Another composition of Paddy O’Brien (from Co. Offaly) that should be better known.
He didn’t name it after himself, but after the O’Brien tower that stands near Doolin and the cliffs of Moher.
Cavan box player, Martin Donohoe once taught this tune at a workshop in Corofin , so I’m not the only one
who likes to play it. It also appears in Paddy’s Tune Collection vol. one.
I like to follow it (on the concertina) with Paddy’s tune "The Foxhunter’s Chorus"
https://thesession.org/tunes/18434 .

Re: O’Brien’s Tower

When I posted this tune, it linked to two recordings—one by Paddy O’Brien and the other by Martin Donohoe!
