Limerick House

A really cool reel from Donegal, first heard on Ceol na dTéad by Francie and Mickey Byrne. I then heard it on Ceol na Ghleanna by Ciarán Ó Maonaigh, there known as "The Drummer". I know nothing about the history of this tune; possibly another of those great Francie Byrne compositions? Note that on Ceol na dTéad, the Byrnes play the three parts in the order AABBCCBBAA (it’s a very short track), whereas Ciarán Ó Maonaigh plays it in a more "standard" AABBCC order.

Re: Limerick House

Ciarán Ó Maonaigh’s recording is called Ceol a’ Ghleanna. My apologies.
