Norwegian

This is often played in Orkney, a favourite of a certain Orkney musician whose name I’ve forgot. So to distinguish it from "The Norwegian Waltz", I’ll call it "Orkney Favourite". Has a nice swing and isn’t difficult.

Re: Norwegian

Now I see that this tune and "The Norwegian" (waltz) are related - but not quite the same. Separately posted on thesession.

Re: Norwegian

I think it was Iris Nicholson who was fond of this waltz. She played piano and accordion.
