Coleman’s

Transcribed from the album The Inch Before The Saw. Does anyone know more about the tune?

Re: Coleman’s

This sounds like a version of Buttermilk Mary https://thesession.org/tunes/8008 which has the alternative title of Coleman’s. The other settings are in G and A, as are the settings in the referenced collection. This setting in D results in the turn being in a lower octave. IMHO this merits its separate entry.
Jackie Daly at least plays this D setting https://thesession.org/tunes/8008. He well have got it (indirectly) from Padraig O’Keeffe who also called it Coleman’s when he presented the jig to one of his pupils: https://www.itma.ie/digital-library/score/padraig_okeeffe_oconnell_ms_163
