This lovely tune was written by fiddler Roger Burridge. I learned it from a 90’s recording of him in concert with the group Fourin a Feire in Kittery, ME. Roger was a New Hampshire transplant from England who played with Fairport Convention at one point in his younger days and as regular at McGann’s in Doolin. I had the pleasure of playing music with Roger over the past few years at sessions in Manchester, NH. Sadly, Roger died on Nov 23, 2020. He will be missed.
Re: Lovely Hurling
Good work Jim! We’ll surely be playing this one when things get back to normal
