Corryvreckan
Composed by William Jackson, and recorded on his 1995 album Inchcolm. On the recording Fred Morrison plays the tune on bagpipe. Corryvreckan is a whirlpool off the north coast of Jura.
Re: Corryvreckan
“Corryvreckan” is also a very fine whisky from the Ardbeg distillery, although the whirlpool came first 🙂. There’s some very good music on “Inchcolm”, thanks for posting this, Nigel. Season’s greetings.
Re: Corryvreckan
Thanks Kenny - back at you. I think this is a cracker of a tune, and it fairly jingles my bells.
Re: Corryvreckan
It is a cracker indeed Nigel!
Re: Corryvreckan
Nice tune-its funny but this tune and Angus Grants Westcoaster both capture how it actually feels to be out there..The pulling and noise of Corryvreckan as you sail past on the way into Loch Linnhe and the west coast Atlantic swell as it runs under your boat.
Anyway off to learn it on my pipes here next to Loch Ness.
