New Algorithm March - Breton Waltz - The Nostalgic Crocodiles

I was trying to find a Bourrée from Berry and then this surprise happened.

http://www.linkonardo.com/en/accordion/d4247/the-nostalgic-crocodiles-breton-waltz-video.html

Breton Waltz by "The Nostalgic Crocodiles". Astral Gonad - Accordion. Jack Greenbark - Violin. Makmed the Miller - Bazouki.

It seems to have an unknown name but also it is said to be a "Breton Waltz".

I could not find any information or the parts so I decided to write it up on ABC and to link the webs where it was found.

It did take me long to transcribe it from the videoclip but I enjoyed.

Does any of you known something else about it?

Cheers!

Re: The New Algorithm March

Cool tune! It appears like it has multiple names (from your title). Can you add them to the tune listing?

(I know I can, but I don’t know if those are other tune names or just things you put in the title :D)

Re: The New Algorithm March

I don´t really know the real name of the tune. I have just transcribed the music from the video and based in what in the descriptions says , it seems to be a "Breton Waltz".

If you could help to find the original…it would be fantastic!

Re: The New Algorithm March

Mathematical march, nice one.

Re: The New Algorithm March

How is it a march? In 3/4?

Re: The New Algorithm March

It is a pretty and interesting melody. Much of it is written with the eighth notes grouped in 3’s, as if in 6/8 time. Is this intended? I don’t mean to be picking the fly poop out of the pepper, but if it’s 3/4, they should be grouped in pairs, so it goes 1,2,3 - as it’s written, it would be counted like a jig, which is more like 2/4 in triplets: ONE two three Four five six. Perhaps the computer is responsible for this.

Re: The New Algorithm March

Thanks Stephen.
The title on the video speaks about a "March" but in the description it is said that it´s a "Breton Waltz", so I transcribed in 3/4. The aesthetics of the transcription seems to me be appropriate. Would you like your own version in 6/4 or 2/4 in triplets or another key , please be willing to do it.
I´ve shared it here to enjoy. I´m wondering whether somebody could find the original tune to finally clarify my curiosity.

The New Algorithm March, X:4

What a great tune! Did a little editing to make it look more like a waltz, which it clearly is, and shortened the tune with repeats where possible. The "algorithm march" in question was a Japanese meme a number of years ago, a kid’s math thing. Don’t know much about the Nostalgic Crocodiles, who posted the YouTube video referenced above - a performance art group with a number of videos, recordings, etc. All over the map…
