This appears on the biggest-selling bagpipe album of all time Farewell To The Greys.
The tune is the Scots Gaelic song Failte Rubha Bhatairnis (Welcome To Rhu Vaternish) but it’s listed as Leaving Rhu Vaternish (Fagail Rubha Bhatairnis) on the album Farewell To The Greys, and it’s common to see this tune under that title.
Many of these Gaelic airs have a waltzlike feel and are often played for the waltz, however Highland pipers usually write these tunes in 6/8 time and call them Slow Marches, or Gaelic Airs.
