Arabell Ó Mórdha

This is an original tune composed by myself and named after my great-grandmother (1842-1918) who was a very beautiful woman, and who probably liked to dance to tunes like this.

The tune is similar in part to “Far From Home” and “Over The Bog Road”, but different enough to warrant it’s own entry.

Beautiful tune, and jaunty. I would have loved to see Arabell dance to this. Thank you for keeping it in flute range ‘cause I am enjoying playing it on my flute and tapping my foot (can’t dance m’self…)

Lots of -bell girl names. Amabel = lovable, Annabel (AnnaBella), I’ve never met an Arabell, maybe it shld come back in fashion, as it is a pretty name - and a good tune too.
