arranged by peakfiddler (2021)
And who is “peakfiddler” ? Could you ask him where he got this tune ?
Thanks in advance.
It should be a hornpipe.
peakfiddler composed this piece
Yet it sounds so familiar.
I have always felt that it’s very easy to compose a tune in a minor key, but very difficult to compose one that doesn’t sound like something else.
I notice that Wanpanfam doesn’t answer Moxhe’s question explicitly. Could it be that Wanpanfam and peakfiddler are one and the same, perhaps posting a self-penned tune as if it’s been collected from a traditional player. Don’t want to seem unduly sceptical, but it has been known.
Also, I agree with Gobby and Nigel G. about the tune’s sounding familiar, tho’ by no means objectionable for all that.
This tune seems to go well with Tuttle’s Reel.
It’s definitely not me, I simply wouldn’t do something like that, as all of my videos are monetised and it would go against the grain for me.
I post loads of free fiddle videos, free lessons and teaching material, and give the musical notation away freely on my youtube & facebook pages, so there is simply no need for me to self publicise on the Session website.
I really like this website and have been a member for years. I value it’s extremely useful role in cataloging and discussing tunes and the relevent background history.
So to clear up your misconception about my integrity and your skeptism Bazza, no it’s definitely not me posting under an assumed name.
