Man And Boy

I heard this while watching Darcey Bussel’s West Coast documentary programme on Channel 4 (Feb/March 2021) and couldn’t get it out of my head. I learned it and transcribed it but couldn’t find a name for it. Eventually tracked it down to an album of BBC production music ("Celtic Life" This made me realise there was a whole third part to the tune that got cut out when they were making the documentary. Most of the tracks on that album are attributed to none other than Phil Cunningham - no wonder it’s an excellent tune and fits especially nicely on the whistle. It should be played quite slowly, certainly about half as slow as the automatic "play audio" option on here. See the link above to listen to the track.
