At Work On The Land

This is a tune composed by William Jackson of the group Ossian, and it was on their 1986 album ‘Light On a Distant Shore’. This setting is transcribed from the playing of fiddlers Clare McLaughlin and Marianne Campbell, from their recording ‘Snap and Roll’ (2000). They play it slightly slower than Ossian and with a little more swing. They learned the tune from flute player Frances Morton.
