Topsy

Quite a lengthy job posting this tune but it helps to keep the dementia at bay, hopefully. 🙂
It’s also one of my favourite waltzes.

It’s not so tricky as it first appears although there’s three parts to learn.

The tune isn’t Irish but it’s got a nice Scandinavian feel to it. It was composed by Ian Holmes, an excellent accordion player from Dumfries, for a very playful kitten.

It can be simplified if you wish and the chords aren’t strictly necessary if you play the tune on the fiddle. There are a few recordings on You Tube but this one is quite straight forward..
