There is 1 recording of this tune.
Dancing At Kilbrew has been added to 2 tunebooks.
Composed by Catherine McEvoy, transcribed from her own playing:
I transcribed this in response to a request in Discussions, and glad I took the time to do so, as it’s a charming tune. This is the ‘skeleton’ of the tune, based more or less on the first time through – Catherine adds different variations each time round. The bottom Ds in bars 8, 12 & 16 could be played an octave up (and sounds good either way) – it is hard to tell from the recording which octave these notes are being played in.
An additional note: I have just received Catherine McEvoy’s blessing to post this tune here (retrospectively, I confess).
Thank you Catherine. True generosity in passing on the tradition.
