The Donegal

Not to be confused with the old Canadian fiddle tune (same name !). Not even, of course, with the Irish Donegal Reel ! This Donegal Jig is a tune composed by accordionist Martin Tourish, while “reminiscing the excitement of New Year’s Eve in Co Donegal”. Recorded with the band Altan with whom he plays, on their Widening Gyre album (2015). Nice switch from minor to major.
