Cucanandy

…kicks of their first album with this fantastic Vince Broderick reel. It certainly makes quite an impression!

apparently, John Skelton also does it on "One at a Time". I haven’t compared the two versions with each other or with the abc, so I’d welcome anyone’s reflections on their variation from each other…? or notes?

Milky Way

Unbelievable! I was about to post this tune tomorrow! The version you’ve posted is very much how John plays it, and he has added a few wee variations of his own, I think. This was one of the first tunes I ever wrote out the "dots" for, from the playing of Cathal McConnell - I’ll post his version’s abc’s for comparison later. Nice one, JHowley.

Re: Cathal’s version

actually, Kenny’s abc sounds more like the Cucanandy version. that .gif just doesn’t sound right when I play it. any way it could get re-transcribed?

The original version is as Kenny posted.

A Vincent Broderick tune from Catherine McEvoy’s flute playing. She isn’t very sure of the title, so I hope someone on this site will confirm it.

BTW… I forgot to edit out the part that says, "which is this weeks’ tutorial." Obviously it refers to something on the Comhaltas website and not this one. Sorry…

Oops… ignore those last ABCs — they have errors. Here’s ABCs that better match the video.

Same tune as Puck’s reel

It seems to me that it is the same as what the Boys of the Lough recorded on Wish you were Here as Puck’s Reel.

Yeah - they got the title wrong.
