Linden Rise

Composed by my good buddy, Johnny Cunningham. He’ll be sorely missed. Please remember him when you play/hear it. A masterpiece.

Hmm anyone else notice the similarity to the Red Box Reel in the first part?

Other way round.

I reckon Johnny composed “Linden Rise” before Arty McGlynn composed “The Red Box”. He certainly recorded his tune before the “Red Box” was recorded.

I’ve learnt this on the fiddle, fun tune to play! I want to get our piper to play it on a whistle, would he just use a G pennywhistle to play this? Can a whistle play this whole range?
