I love this slow air composed by Scottish fiddler Paul Anderson, from his 2004 album Granite. Wind the tempo all the way down on the playback.
Fingal’s Cave is a remarkable geological wonder which is worth visiting (when I was there I played another “Fingal’s Cave” tune - https://thesession.org/tunes/6833 - on whistle much to the delight of some antipodean tourists). It has inspired several musicians to pen tunes in its honour: Mendelssohn, John Gow, Hector MacAndrew and, of course, Paul Anderson, to name but four.
