The Glen Road To Carrick (reel)

Source: Gay McKeon : "Irish Piping Tradition"
Transcription: g.m.p.

Written in honour of the road through the glens in South West Donegal.

Line 5?

Seems like a mistake in line 5, not sure I’ve seen notation like that before. Can anybody confirm that the way it plays in the mid file is correct?

This is how I play it…

Oops

Final bar should be Ad=cA G2AG

Also, you can throw in a lot of C naturals throughout to harsh it up a bit…

Re: The Glen Road To Carrick

I find it very difficult, to play this part on the flute A2Bc|cBBA AGAF, so that it sounds nice…puting grace notes on c natural and b is a difficult thing for me .. how do other flute player handle this part ?
