The Thornton Jig
From the playing of Billy Ross, transcribed from a tape of a live radio broadcast. It sounds like a variation of "Elsie Marley".
This also follows up "The Heilandmen Cam’ Doon the Hill" on Ossian’s recording "Seal Song".
The Thornton Jig
Apparently composed by a Donald Cameron.

Thornton Jig
Seven years ago I said, "Apparently composed by a Donald Cameron." Then I couldn’t remember where I got that information. I still can’t, but in Ross’s Collection of Pipe Music (1875) it is there, "by D Cameron".

Julie Fowlis’ setting of The Thornton from Mar a Tha Mo Chridhe track 4.
