This tune was at the end of a set of reels or mussettes.
I enjoyed it and hope some amount of pleasure is derived
for others. This composer so often reaches his listeners
through performance of his own pieces.

Did you write this tune?
The New Bob-
I can’t remember where, but maybe Boys of the Lough, I thought I had seen this tune listed as "The New Shilling"?
The New Bob
I believe it’s the same as The New Shillin’ on Silly Wizard’s album "So Many Partings", that came out in or before 1980.
A Scottish reel from "So Many Partings" and "Live Again" albums of Silly Wizard. This particular tune had been discovered by the fiddler of the band, Johnny Cunningham, in an old book of tunes. (that’s wrote on the back cover of the vinyl). Enjoy it!
The New Shilling
It is found in the MacFarlane manuscripts of 1740, and later in Gow as "The Boganuadh, or the New Bob". No composer is noted.
