Ten comments

Earl the Breakfast Boiler

as played by the "Moving Hearts" in the multijig tune ‘The Storm’ and learnt by the german piper Hans-Joerg Podworny.

Boil the Breakfast Early

Isn’t this more properly called "Boil the Breakfast Early". I suspect that someone has missed the joke in the sleeve notes.

Or is it Earl, Break the Boil Fast….

Of breakfasts and boilers

Boil The Breafast Early is a different tune:

The title of this tune sounds like one of Donal Lunny’s little jokes. Didn’t he also have a tune called The Mountains Of Holland?

Break the earl

what about "break the earl and boil it fast" ?

Re: Earl The Breakfast Boiler

Of course, there is a comma missing in the original title, it should be " Boil the breakfast, Early", the same Early as mentioned in "Seargeant Early’s dream", who worked with Captain O’Neill in Chicago.

Re: Earl The Breakfast Boiler

Interesting, furriskey. Where did you get that information?

Re: Earl The Breakfast Boiler

Micho Russell tells that story on one of his recordings.
