Hamish the Carpenter aka. Old Time Wedding Reel #2
This is the second tune of the well-known Cape Breton medley, Old Time Wedding Reels. I’ve already submitted the first one (https://thesession.org/tunes/1480) and recently found it’s in many people’s tunebook, so I need to complete the set. I’ll post the last one soon.
Compared to the first one, this reel may not be so attractive, but I think it’s simple yet mighty tune just like Elizabeth Kelly’s Delight.
I’m now enjoying the live recording of Ashley MacIsaac and Howie MacDonald’s concert, which I’m borrowing from a friend of mine. They kick off a ridicuously long reel set with the medley. Crazy fiddle duet!
