A tune by Jackie Daly. It’s the first tune of the album “Fonnchaoi” by Julie Langan and Verena Commins, and goes beautifully with Michael Tennyson’s and John Burke’s, the latter by Verena Commins.
Hope I got it right for once, Jeremy. 🙂

“Fonnchaoi”
That would be Irish Feng Shui 🙂
Funky
I asked Verena how to pronounce the title of their CD. She told me they chose the name because of the pronunciation.
I’ll never forget that time…
when I was sitting in the stairwell at the Canberra National with Carolyn Frawley and she played me this tune as I videoed her fingers going like crazy. What a great memory…and I get to watch it over and over and over. She’s is such a star!!
It’s as catchy as a fly for a trout… in the right hands!
(I think I can hear the fly tipping in the first beats of part 2, can you?)
Runriverrun
The wet, the dry,
the caddis fly,
the green drake, the dun,
the nymph. The grizzly king,
the Mickey Finn.
Black conehead,
woolly bugger,
emerger
the streamer,
the popper…
The Poetry of it all!
