A bit of an obscure slip jig I learnt from a Cambridge (UK) session tape. On the tape the player says that it’s a Tomas Lynch tune possibly called “Regal Slip”. By doing an abc search, I’ve finally tracked it down to Richard Moon’s tune database, where it is called “The Afterhours Jig”. That setting is the same as mine but for bar 2 of the A- and B-parts. I haven’t any Afterhours albums myself, but there is a tune called “The Regal Slip” in the track listing of “Up To Here”, so I’m assuming it’s this tune, and that the muso I talked to in Cambridge got his info from the liner notes of that CD.
What an absolutely cracking wee tune
