Paddy’s Polka #2

I think I pressed "jig" by mistake! Jeremy, would you be able to change it to "polka" for me? Sorry..

This goes after "Paddy’s Polka #1" https://thesession.org/tunes/3226

I forgot I could change it myself - duh.

Polka gan ainm

Thanks Dow,
yes it’s something like your tune Paddy’s, I guess they are related. An awful lot of these polkas sound very similar - I suppose people varying slightly or making a mistake when picking them up in the first place. This tune was also learnt down at the Willie week.

Paddy’s

Dow
I’ve listened to Paddy’s a few times now and our version is really just a variation on it. Thanks for help.

I’m sure I’ve heard another name for this one though, on someone’s album…

I just assumed that this one would have been on here for years and years!

Are you, um, serious about the name?

Shutup, Dow. The Folkworks version is OBVIOUSLY way better.

"Folkworks" ~ sounds like a urinary tract infection…

I’ve only ever heard it - and I’ve heard it a lot - in G.

Who taught you this at Folkworks Dan? It is played in A in Glasgow all the time at the end of a couple of local polkas (There’s Something about Kerry/No Fixed Abode).

X: 6 - - - Jackie Daly ~ 3 polkas: The Gullane / The Blackwater 1 / The Blackwater 2
