Five comments

Given the ‘Midwest’ US, and a strong mix of Scandinavians with the Irish, this has found its way into a lot of different venues, from Norse Halls to Police Balls, mostly known as a waltz, though its ‘Pols/Mazurka’ roots are evident and it swings nicely there. It isn’t uncommon for mazurkas to be used as waltzes or for folks to waltz to a mazurka… There were also ‘Mazurka-Waltz’ dances, and numerous other combinations…

One gang I’ve danced to played this in a set with ‘Miss/Mrs. Kenny’s Waltz’…

A missed second ending for Part 1:

|1 B3 c B>A:|
|2 G3 c B>A||

I noticed a typo in the ABC format when it the sheet music said it had errors. The corrected version is:

X: 1
T: The Minnesota
R: mazurka
M: 3/4
L: 1/8
K: Gmaj
D2 |:
G2 B>G B>d | G2 B>G B>c | d2 e>d c>B | A3 B A>F |
D2 F>D F>A | D2 F>D F>A | d2 d>c B>A |1 B3 c B>A :|
|2 G3 c B>A ||
|: G2 B>G B>d | g4 g2 | g2 f>g a>g | e4 e2 |
F2 A>F A>d |1 f3 g f>e | d2 d>e d>c |1 B3 c B>A :|
[2 f2 f>g f>e | d2 d>c B>A | G4 ||

There’s just a | symbol missing in front of the 2 (2nd ending)

Doranna, things went wrong when the website code completely changed. We’re slowly making corrections, more often lead-ins go missing, but all kinds of madness has happened. It is slowly being sorted, at least by me, a little bit at a time. 😉 Thanks for the heads up on this, appreciated, but there was more wrong than just that bit.
