The Keys To The Door

This tune is a slip polka, from Trouble In The Kitchen’s EP “Down The Broom”. It’s played like a fast three-two. On the recording they take it at about 142bpm. Usually a 3/2 would be taken at the more marchy pace of around 120bm. Think of this like a “polka and a half”.

I posted this for Gian Marco. I think that he might have been planning to post the same tune today as we have been talking about slip polkas and I know for a fact that he has the recording since he submitted its info here at thesession.

Dow, yesterday I have transcribed the same one!!

I thought so!

I should have mentioned that this was written by Adrian Barker who plays fiddle in the band.
