Wow, this was lots of work!
Play twice, first time 1. and 3. fiddles only, second time all three fiddles.
I wrote all three fiddles since I mean it’s better with more than only one fiddle!
I’ve learned it by Douglas Stuart, Inverness, or, I got sheet music by him…

This slow air was composed by Alexander MacKenzie (1819-1857), principal violinist and leader of the band at the Theatre Royal in Edinburgh.

Have been playing it for a while under the impression that it was by William Marshall, and indeed several other sources say that it is, but then others say it is "often wrongly attributed to Wm Marshall". Lovely tune, and yes, definitely a slow air and nothing like a hornpipe!
