My friend was taught this polka by Paul McGrattan. It’s also a song, the last line of which goes “…We won’t go home till morning.” (Try singing it - it fits!). A pleasant tune, and a good one for beginners.
Doesn’t “we won’t go home ’til morning” fit into the end of just about *every* polka?! ;)
good point Zina!
Is it just me or is this the tune to the song Jar of Porter?

Fits into the Scots pipes range (the mixolydian 7ths suit it)
Nice tune to play when they’re calling last orders ;- )
Jar of Porter
@fiach - yes this is Jar of Porter. It’s widely played by beginners as an instrumental tune, but I’ve only ever heard it referred to as Jar of Porter.
